Overview
Academia Columbus offers our students a variety of accommodations options they can choose when studying and learning Spanish at our school. The following is an overview of your various options.

The Shared Apartment Option
Our typical apartment consists of 2 or 3 bedrooms. These spacious apartments are all within a short walking distance to the school and the things you want to see and do within Playa del Carmen. All have a living room, large kitchen, and most rooms have their own private bathroom. All apartments are furnished and come with linen. Students must bring their own towels. Once per week each apartment is cleaned. You will provide or cook your own meals when choosing this option. Each bedroom is set up as a double room (2 beds). Each room however can be rented as a private single room.

Host Family Option
Many of our Spanish student choose to stay with one of our friendly Mexican host families. Host families are located a short distance away from the Spanish language school. With this option you will receive your own bedroom and can select from breakfast only or breakfast and dinner as your meal option. Staying with a local Mexican family is a great way to learn and improve your Spanish. Additionally staying with one of our families will help to give you a perspective on the rich Mexican culture.

If you are traveling with a friend or partner we can arrange for the two of you to stay together with the same host family. Host families can also accommodate certain dietary requirements such as vegetarians may have etc.

Private Apartment Option
If you prefer complete privacy during your Spanish immersion program, then the private apartment option is a great choice. These apartments are located in the center of Playa del Carmen. They are approximately 10-15 minutes away from the school on foot or no more than 5 minutes away by bus.

Each apartment consists of two bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room with TV and at least one bathroom. The apartments are self catering, are cleaned once a week and linen are provided. Students must bring their own towels.

Hotel Option
For those who prefer to stay at a hotel, our partner hotel within a short distance of both the beach and the school will make your stay a very enjoyable experience. The hotel offers both single and double rooms with air condition or fans, a garden with a swimming pool, a large canopied terrace with several hammocks and of course a very friendly atmosphere.

Other Accommodations
We are happy to arrange other accommodations for you in your preferred price range. You are also welcome to book your course without accommodations provided by us.
