Overview
The Academia Columbus Spanish language school is located in the heart of modern Quito. The classrooms are bright, modern and comfortable. When the weather is nice, students sometimes take classes outside in the garden or on one of the terraces. We feel that our building offers the perfect atmosphere in which to study and learn Spanish.

Our Spanish language courses are offered throughout the year and start EVERY Monday. Our student body consists of a very international mix of North Americans and Europeans. We accept students of all levels of Spanish language proficiency. Each lesson we offer is 60 minutes in length.

We offer group classes with no more than 5 students per class, private instruction, and a combination of private and group instruction. Additionally we offer some specialized Spanish language programs as well.

Spanish Group Classes - Intensive Course
30 lessons per week (60 minutes per Spanish class)
Students per class: An average of 3, maximum of 5
Hours of class: 8:30 am - 1 pm and 2 pm - 4 pm

Combined Spanish Classes - PLUS 10 Intensive Course
20 lessons per week in a group Spanish class
10 lessons per week in a private Spanish class
Students per group class: An average of 3, maximum of 5
Students per private class: A maximum of 1

08:30 am - 10:30 am classes

2:00 pm - 4:00 pm classes (only for intensive course)

Note: No classes take place on official Ecuadorian holidays.

Starting Dates
You can start your Spanish language course on any Monday of the year.

Spanish Language Instructors
All our Spanish language instructors are native speakers and have a university degree as well as extensive experience in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. We provide ongoing training to help ensure that our teaching staff maintain a high standard of teaching proficiency.

Educational Materials
Our educational materials are up-to-date and mostly come from Spanish universities or the Instituto Cervantes. They are specially developed to enable fast and effective learning of Spanish as a foreign language. In order to guarantee you top quality, we use a wide variety of materials. The educational materials are made available to you free of charge for the duration of your course. All of our students receive a certificate of successful completion at the end of their courses.
